Working with local police, I secured a special grant from the Police and Crime Commissioner which has enabled a new sports programme in Ryde to divert young people away from crime. I persuaded the Commissioner to reopen Ryde police station to the public and I am now campaigning for regeneration of our towns including exploring new community opportunities for publicly owned land in Sandown.
