Joe Robertson MP for Isle of Wight East has praised the "Hats Off to Sandown" project, a creative initiative aimed at reviving the tradition of hat-wearing during the Sandown Bay Regatta.
During his visit, Joe enjoyed a stunning display of hats that captured the spirit and creativity of the community. Among the highlights was Joel's remarkable cockerel-inspired hat, drawing inspiration from the rich history of Brading Roman Villa.
Speaking about the event, Joe said:
"‘Hats Off to Sandown’ is a fantastic celebration of both creativity and local tradition. It’s wonderful to see such enthusiasm and talent come together to honor the heritage of the Sandown Bay Regatta and bring the community together."
