Last week marked Parliament Week, an important opportunity for many to learn more about the workings of Parliament and the legislative process. Joe Robertson MP took part in the celebrations by speaking to a group of children at the Island Free School.
"I was pleased to speak to a group of children at the Island Free School about my work as your MP," said Robertson. "There were lots of very good questions, and it was great to be able to tell them more about my new role."
The event provided a platform for students to engage with their local MP, ask insightful questions, and gain a deeper understanding of how laws are made and the role of Parliament. Robertson's visit highlighted the importance of civic education and encouraged young people to take an active interest in politics.
