Joe Robertson MP recently visited AJ Wells, a renowned family-run business in Newport that has been making wood-burning stoves and enamel signage since 1972. The business is now operated by the second and third generations of the Wells family and has recently been honored with the King's Award for Enterprise.
During his visit, Robertson had the opportunity to see the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into their products. "AJ Wells is a remarkable example of a successful family business," said Robertson. "Their commitment to quality and innovation is evident in everything they do."
AJ Wells is well-known for producing many of the iconic London Underground signs, including those for the new Elizabeth Line. Robertson was particularly impressed by their current project, refurbishing a classic 1980s Underground sign.
