Joe Robertson has launched his 2024 design a Christmas Card Competition and is inviting all primary school-aged children in the East Wight to take part.
All primary school-aged children, both in school and home educated, are being invited to participate and submit an entry, whereby three winning designs from different age groups will be used for Joe Robertson’s official Christmas Card.
Joe launched his competition at Brading Primary School this week and said he wanted to see lots of colours and creativity. He said he would be sending hundreds of cards this Christmas, both locally and in Westminster, and he wanted to showcase local children’s artistic talent.
Joe said, “This is the time to get creative and think about what you most enjoy about Christmas”. He told Brading’s Year 6 pupils “Draw or paint whatever makes you feel Christmassy, and you think people would like to get in the post!”
Designs should be completed on A5, A4 or A3 paper or card, and any medium can be used - pencil, felt tip, crayon, paint, or even collage.
Schools or parents will be responsible for collating the children’s artwork and sending them to the MP’s office.
Entries should be sent to the MP’s constituency office with the child’s name, age, school year, and school name or home address if home educated. The deadline for entries is Friday 10th November and the winners will be announced the following week. Please post all entries to: The Office of Joe Robertson MP, Shanklin Conservative Club, 6 Palmerston Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, PO37 6AU or email a scanned copy to [email protected].
